From the rainforest to the roots of Puerto Rico. A private 6 hour adventure for up to 3 guests Discover two sides of Puerto Rico on a journey that takes you from the lush rainforest of El Yunque to the vibrant Afro-Puerto Rican culture of Loíza. We’ll begin in El Yunque, one of Puerto Rico’s most remarkable natural treasures of the island. Follow the trail through tropical forest, listen to the sounds of the birds and trees, until we make it to the beautiful Río Mameyes. Here, you’ll have time to slow down, enjoy the cool river water, swim if conditions allow, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest. Then, we’ll head to Loíza, a coastal town where African heritage, art, music, and Puerto Rican traditions remain deeply connected to everyday life. We’ll visit the studio of Samuel Lind, a renowned local artist whose work celebrates the people, stories, and Afro-Caribbean heritage of Loíza. Through his art, you’ll discover a cultural perspective that goes far beyond the usual tourist experience. Next, we’ll visit Vacía Talega, a beautiful and calm beach where you can unwind, feel the ocean breeze, and enjoy a different side of Puerto Rico’s coastline. To finish, we’ll stop at a local chinchorro to taste traditional Puerto Rican fritters, including the beloved alcapurria, and enjoy a little taste of local life. This is more than a sightseeing tour. It’s an opportunity to experience Puerto Rico through its landscapes, its people, its art, and its flavors on the hand of a local.
